Prayer drops are falling on my head

prayDo you feel something lacking in your friendships?  Do you pray with friends? Something amazing happens when we pray with friends. I know I know prayer can be awkward. It can seem strange to go from laughing and talking about how you have a second date next week and how amazing that band was you heard on the radio today, to baring your soul about how your parents are fighting and how you’re feeling insecure. If you don’t pray, one on one, with friends regularly, this can be a challenge. But don’t let it stop you! Not only does it bring you and your friend at the foot of the cross, but it brings your friendship closer, stronger, and more honest.  It also brings growth to you individually and together. Prayer is like a fresh rain on a dry field.  God’s presence pours down, reviving and uniting. Try it…be vulnerable. When you’re fighting with a friend..pray. When you are driving with a friend…pray. When you are eating with a friend… Pray. When you are celebrating with a friend….Pray.  Pray with your friends and it will change your life.

James 5:16

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

James 5:13

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.
