Let’s Make a Fruit Salad!

Sometimes we have to get lost to understand being found; we have to make mistakes to become aware of how much we need God. Here, I share my thoughts as I make my way through the messy path of life.  I hope to relate to you and be honest as I try and figure out how to live with the kind of faith that goes beyond words and truly is evident in my life. My hope is to make you laugh and cry, encourage you, and help you realize that you are not alone in your struggles.  We need to reach out to each other and stick together through this complicated life as we attempt to figure out how to be better followers and lovers of Christ. In order to grow good, lasting fruit in our lives, we need to take care of our faith, intentionally grow our relationship with God and others, and have a ton of patience and grace with ourselves and guidance from our Creator. Let’s look to our Savior as we plant our seeds, grow a garden, and make a fruit salad in our lives.

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” John 15:16

“He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the
stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no
worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:8
